COLLEGE STATION, TX -- Texas A&M puts its six-game win streak on the line Wednesday as the Aggies face former Big 12 Conference foe Kansas State at 2:30 p.m. (CT) in the opening round of the three-day World Vision Classic at Las Vegas.
A&M, in its first season as a member of the Southeastern Conference, moved up one spot to No. 22 in this week’s AP Top 25 Poll and three spots to No. 22 in the USA TODAY/ ESPN Coaches Top 25 Poll and is 6-3 following a convincing 79-61 victory at USC on Saturday. Kristi Bellock posted her first career double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds against the Trojans. Kelsey Bone tied Bellock for team-high honors in points and narrowly missed a double-double, finishing with nine rebounds. With the victory, A&M has won its last six games by an average margin of 29.17 points.
The Aggies won by 31 points (67-36) in their most recent meeting against Kansas State (Feb. 8, 2012, College Station) with Bone and Karla Gilbert tallying 14 points each. A&M shot 52.8 percent from the floor while holding K-State to a 22.7 shooting percentage and forcing the Wildcats into 23 turnovers.

SCOUTING Kansas State (7-1)
After starting the season with seven consecutive victories, the Wildcats are coming off their first loss of the season, a 52-50 setback to UTEP in Manhattan, Kan., on Sunday. K-State had led the entire game until UTEP took its first lead with 26 remaining and held on for the win. Sophomore guard Haley Texada came off the bench to tie Brianna Craig for team-high honors with 12 points. For the season, Kansas State is led by senior guard Brittany Chambers, who averages team highs in points (18.5), rebounds (7.3) and assists (2.9) per game, as well as three-point field goals made and attempted.
