BRYAN, Texas Texas A&M Players Shine for the Bombers on Aggie Night
Bombers trample the Marshals with an offensive explosion taking the series sweep.

Bryan-College Station, TX (July 19, 2013)-

It was a rare, cool night at American Momentum Bank Ballpark, but that didn’t tame the Bombers bats as they crushed the Marshals 10-5.

The night started off hot again for the Texas Marshals as an RBI double by Zach Marberry brought in the first run of the game in the first inning. The Bombers struck right back with a run of their own brought in by Hunter Melton on a sacrifice fly. After a few gifts thanks to the Marshals pitching, G.R. Hinsley and Hunter Melton both had RBI singles to give the Bombers a two run lead after the third inning. This was just the beginning of the offensive onslaught.

The first two outs in the bottom of the 5th were retired until Jake Henson earned a walk and Blake Kopetsky sent a two run blast over the scoreboard to make the lead 5-1. A single, hit by pitch, and walk would load the bases for Horacio Correa III as he hit a 3 run triple to increase the lead 8-1. The runs continued to pour in with a RBI single by Jake Henson in the 6th and a bases loaded walk by Graham McIntyre in the bottom half of the 8th. The Marshals would attempt a comeback in the 8th with a two run homerun and a two run double, but fell short in the final inning giving the Bombers a 10-5 victory.

Current and future Texas A&M players gleamed on Aggie Night as G.R. Hinsley had three hits, Hunter Melton with 2 RBI’s, and Parker Ray who pitched a strong seven innings, only giving up one run and striking out 10. Erik Polivka and Caleb Hawkins finished the game for the Bombers who both pitched one inning.

The Bombers face the Woodlands Strykers on Saturday at American Momentum Bank ballpark at 7:05pm, July 20.
