SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Texas A&M women’s golf team travels to San Antonio for the Alamo Invitational hosted by UTSA at the Briggs Ranch Golf Club beginning Sunday.
“This course is always in great shape and we look forward to playing such a well-run tournament” Texas A&M head coach Trelle McCombs said. “The greens are usually fast and there are par fives that can be reached in two shots, which makes it fun to play.”
The A&M lineup will consist of freshman Andrea Jonama and the senior foursome of Katerina Ruzickova, Natalie Reeves, Janell Lysack and Chelsea Mocio. Competing as an individual will be sophomore Alex Neal.
“I am looking forward to see what this senior laden group will be able to do this week” McCombs said. “This will be our fourth different lineup this fall; we are trying to find the right combination going into the spring. I know this group will look to get out on this course and compete.”
One year ago at the Alamo Invitational the maroon and white finished second at eight-under par, eight strokes behind team champion Oklahoma. Individually, Reeves finished tied for fifth while former golfer Sarah Beth Davis tied for 10th.
The Aggies will tee-off as part of the first group with Florida State and TCU at 11:00 am (CT) from hole 10.
