COLLEGE STATION, TX -- Texas A&M Head Basketball Coach Billy Kennedy seems to be making sure that the best local basketball talent in the Brazos Valley is staying close to home.
This afternoon A&M Consolidated product Alex Caruso announced that he was choosing Texas A&M University over Colorado to continue his basketball career.
During his junior season with the Tigers, Caruso averaged 18 points per game and lead the team in assists, rebounds, steals and blocks.
Caruso is listed as the 63rd best basketball recruit in the country according to some analyst and in the top 15 at his position as wing.
He's expected to join Bryan High standout J-Mychal Reese as part of Billy Kennedy's early 2012 signing class in November.
