Tommy Gates picks up 600th win as Lady Rattlers advance in playoffs

FRANKLIN, Texas -- The 12th ranked Navasota girls pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat Waco Robinson 58-43 in a 3A Bi-District playoff game Monday night.

Lady Rattler head coach Tommy Gates picked up his 600th career coaching victory.

Alexus Freeman led Navasota with 20 points, while Tae' Lattimore and Denisha Ford each chipped in eight.

Haley Boyett led Robinson with 11 points.

Navasota improves to 36-3 advances to face No. 2 Fairfield in the Area playoffs. The Rockettes season ends with a record of 18-13.
