BRYAN, TX -- The 5th Annual Ty Warren 1st & Goal - Life Skills & Drills Clinic got underway this morning at the Bryan High School football practice fields.

The first day belonged to the 10 to 13 year olds and close to 150 kids took part in days festivities that got underway with a walk up registration at 7:30am.

There were a couple of morning practice sessions along with a Life Skills Workshop prior to lunch.

The afternoon session lasted nearly two hours with offensive and defensive players going head to head in 7 on 7 competition.

"I always look forward to coming back home and seeing the kids," said Ty Warren a two time Super Bowl Champion that went to high school in Bryan.

Ty went onto say that the numbers continue increase every year and it's not just local kids that are attending, but some kids from Houston attended Wednesday's clinic.

One of the attractive things about Warren's Life Skills & Drills Clinic is that it's more than football. Ty spends time talking to the attendees about crime, drug abuse, belief & faith, being a student athlete, academics.

There is also a question and answer session where the kids can have an open discussion with the NFL players and staffers on hand.

Thursday the Life Skills & Drills Clinic will be for 14 - 18 year old participants.

Walk-up registration will begin at 7:30am at the entrance of Bryan High School Baseball and Softball Complex.
