Viking Baseball Takes Crosstown Opener 4-2

BRYAN, Texas -- The Bryan Vikings scored a pair of runs in the 1st and 3rd innings and beat A&M Consolidated in a key District 14-5A baseball showdown Tuesday night a the Viking Athletic Complex 4-2.

In the first inning Matt Fuller tripled to left driving in Jeremy Pfunter. The Viking third baseman didn't stand 90 feet away from home long. Willy Amador drove Pfunter home on a ground ball to second.

Bryan (2-1) will hit the road for Lufkin on Friday. First pitch is set for 6pm.

A&M Consolidated (0-3) will return home looking for their first district win as they host College Park Friday at 7pm.
