HUNTSVILLE, Texas The Bryan Viking volleyball team lost 3 hard fought matches Thursday at the Huntsville tournament. Bryan fell to Conroe in the first match 15-25, 22-25. Audrey Malone led the Vikings with 8 kills and 8 digs. Jessica Pfeffer and Emily Hubacek added 4 kills each, and Pfeffer had 14 digs while Hubacek added 6 assists. Maddie Luera had 4 digs, and Robyn Tarver had 8 assists.
Bryan fell to New Caney Porter in the second match 25-19, 19-25, 17-25. The Vikings were led by Malone with 9 kills and Pfeffer with 7. Malone also had 11 digs, and Hannah Eike recorded 4 kills. Katie Scott had 9 assists, and Tarver had 16. Hubacek had 3 aces.
The Vikings fell to Willis in the final match 19-25, 25-23, 19-25. Bryan was led by Pfeffer and Malone with 10 kills each. Pfeffer also had 11 digs while Malone had 13. Luera had 7 digs, and Courtney Sager had 5. Rachel Ullmann had 4 blocks. Scott had 9 assists, and Tarver had 10.
The Vikings will face an undetermined opponent Saturday at 9:00 in bracket play.
