Waco La Vega knocks off Navasota in 3A Playoffs

BUFFALO, Texas -- Navasota suffered their only loss of the season Tuesday night to Waco La Vega 62-57 and bowed out of the class 3A playoffs with a record of 19-1.

La Vega hit some key free throws down the stretch after the Rattlers closed an 11 point fourth quarter deficit to two late in the game.

The Rattlers went undefeated to win a state title in football and had not lost a basketball game until tonight, ending an amazing run of perfection during the 2012-2013 school year.
