NAVASOTA, Texas -- Xavier Creeks ran for 195 yards and two touchdowns and returned an interception 71-yards for another score as Navasota shut out Rockdale 43-0.

The Rattlers picked up their second consecutive District 18-3A shutout.

A strong wind and a game Tiger defense kept the game close early. Clayton Gibbs stopped Austin Collins on 4th and goal in the first quarter to turn the Rattlers away on their first drive of the game.

However the Rattlers got on the board on a Kadarius Baker 6-yard run on their next drive, and Creeks first score put Navasota up 14-0 at the half.

The number one ranked Rattlers improve to 8-0, 2-0 and visit Caldwell next week.

Rockdale is 4-5, 1-2 and has a bye before closing out the regular season against Caldwell.
