This is not the first top 10 preseason ranking for A&M leading up to the 2007-08 season. Last month, the Aggies received a program-best No. 6 preseason national ranking by SLAM Magazine.

Alumbaugh takes over the head coach position after serving as the Bombers assistant coach in 2007. He brings to the organization a winning resume at the professional, college, and high school levels.
