"Ashley's a good student; she's got a lot of energy. She's always cheerful, always has a smile on her face. She's one of those students that as a teacher; really brings joy to the classroom. She leads the other students with that joy. She comes in, she's such a positive force in the classroom that the other students just follow along. And it really make teaching the class really enjoyable; it adds that positive energy to the class."
"Ashley is definitely a vocal leader. She's never one to not say what she's thinking or her opinion. Bur everything that she does say is usually needed to be said. She leads our team in many positive ways. And if she ever sees something that isn't quite right shes gonna say this isn't working and we need t fix it. She also does a really good job if anything is a little bit too stressful she kind of breaks the ice with a joke or something. She's a strong leader when she needs to be, but also a fun goofy girl whenever the moment is right as well."
"In soccer and in the classroom I'm just motivated my parents, like people I look up to proud of me. I'll be the first person in my family to go to college and so I think it will be a really cool step to take. I'm also motivated to do my best and to be the best at whatever I do. I just think its important to excel in whatever you do an to always give all that you have in all aspects of your life. I think being involved in sports has helped my competitive drive...Just spills over into the classroom, so I just naturally just want to succeed in school and in the classroom."
After high school, Ashley plans on attending Texas A&M University and majoring in Biology, to one day become a dentist. Congratulations to Ashley Miller of Rudder High School. This week's News 3 Sports Classroom Champion!
