News 3 Sports would like to congratulate our latest Classroom Champion, Harrison Hull. The Bremond High School senior has a 4.68 GPA, and is currently ranked 4th in his class.
“The reason this award is really important for our community of Bremond is because Harrison is in so many of these group sports and you can't do it alone as an athlete. You have to have your guys around you and you have to have your teammates and they're supporting you. And that just shows that the kids here in Bremond are great kids. They support each other. Not everybody can make it on the news, but they're all supporting each other in hopes that someone can achieve the success that Harrison has achieved.”
You name it and Harrison plays it for the Tigers: football, baseball, tennis, track, cross-country and golf. Harrison was the District MVP last season on the Tiger football team and earned All-State Linebacker honors both his junior and senior campaigns. He was a regional qualifier in cross-country as a freshman and made it to the regionals in the mile relay last year. Harrison has earned All-District honors in baseball the last three years and during his junior year was named District MVP.
He is the Student Council President, Vice President of 4H, Secretary of the National Honor Society, a member of FCA. He also volunteers around his community, and is active in his church.
“Harrison's always been a hard-worker. My first year here he was a seventh grader, and it showed in football and everything he did, he's always going to do what he can to be the best. He's really excelled in everything on the field and even off the field. You never have to worry about Harrison with his grades. He always just finds a way to take care of business.”
“Being a scholar athlete here, it will help because it will just show that I've been something similar like this before where I've had sports and academics I've needed to worry about. So going there, I'll know I have the same curriculum where I have to be a student first and an athlete second to be able to excel in sports and college.”
After high school, Harrison will attend Tarleton State University and major in Business, and play baseball.
Congratulations to Harrison Hull of Bremond High School. This week’s News 3 Sports Classroom Champion!
