Bryan, A&M Consolidated To Kick Off Big Opening Night of High School Football in the Brazos Valley Friday

BRYAN, TX -- The high school football season kicks off in earnest in the Brazos Valley Friday night with a pair of 5A tilts in the twin cities.

The Bryan Vikings will usher in the Ross Rogers era against Waco Midway. The Panthers played for the Class 4A Division 1 State Championship losing to Lake Travis.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 at Merrill Green Stadium in Bryan.

The A&M Consolidated Tigers will take on former district foe Copperas Cove. For years the winner between the Tigers and Bulldawgs would determine the district championship.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 at Tigerland Stadium in College Station.

The Rudder Rangers will kick off the season on the road against the Elgin Wildcats.

Kickoff is set for 7-30 at Wildcat Stadium in Elgin.

While it will be a historic Friday in Schulenburg as the Shorthorns host the College Station Cougars in the first game ever for Steve Huff and his Cougars.
