BRYAN -- The Bryan Vikings will be on the road Friday night to open district 14-5A play against Oak Ridge at Woodforest Bank Stadium in Shenandoah. The Vikings 1-3 on the season. The War Eagles are 0-4.
Bryan is coming off a 43-3 loss to Pflugerville Hendrickson last Friday night in the final non-district game of the season. Vikings head coach Ross Rogers admits it was a poor performance by the coaches and players but know his team will get a fresh start Friday night. "I don't care if you are 4-0 or 0-4 everybody starts off with a clean slate. Every coach is talking about it. Oak Ridge is the same way we are, this is a big giant step and we need to play well and if we play well I think it will work out for us."
Bryan quarterback Chris Johnson will be back in the starting lineup against Oak Ridge. Johnson missed the game against Hendrickson after suffering a concussion against Belton.
