BRYAN -- The Bryan football team beat College Park 32-7 Friday night in the team's final game of the season at Merrill Green Stadium. The loss eliminated the Cavaliers from playoff contention.
Bryan recovered an onside kick to start the game. The Vikings would cap off the drive with a 22 yard touchdown pass from Chris Johnson to VJ Banks. Bobby Johnson would add a three yard touchdown run later in the first quarter helping Bryan take a 15-0 lead.
In the second the Bryan special teams get on the scoreboard. Tavion Walton blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown to push the Viking lead to 22-0. College Park finally scored in the second quarter on a 16 yard touchdown pass from Brett Buckley to Charrod Henry. That cut the Viking lead to 22-7. Bryan would cap off the first half scoring with a 19 yard touchdown pass from Johnson to Banks. A Corey Johnson field goal was the only score in the second half.
Bryan ends the season 3-7 and 2-4 in district 14-5A play. College Park finished 4-6 and 1-5 in district 14-5A play.
