BRYAN, TX -- The Caldwell Hornets won for the first time all season last week with a dramatic 26 to 22 win over Taylor now Caldwell Head Coach Kenneth Gilchrist is hoping last week's emotional win will carry over into Friday's battle of Highway 21 against Madisonville.

"Madisonville is a great opponent for us," said Gilchrist. "We're coming off a win against Taylor last week and we want to build on that momentum like you said. It's going to take all the momentum that we can get to beat Madisonville. They've got a really great football team they play great defense. They cause so many turnovers on defense we've got to really protect the football and do a go a good job on offense doing that."

While Caldwell is coming off a big emotional win, Madisonville has lost two in a row.

Kickoff is set for 7-30 at Mustang Stadium in Madisonville.
