BRYAN, Texas -- After getting rained out last week the College Station Cougars (3-0) will hope for better luck this week from Mother Nature as they host Gonzales on Friday.
Steve Huff and his Cats came up on the short end against the Apaches a year ago on the road 47 to 6.
They are looking forward to the rematch and hoping to avenge their embarrassing loss a year ago.
"Give us an opportunity to see where we are as a program. Last year we went down there and played well for a half and then shut it down in the second half and didn't play offensively at all. I think the kids were a little embarrassed at that and hopefully will respond a lot better this year."
So far this year the Cougars have responded well. They are undefeated having won their first 3 games.
The Rudder Rangers (0-4) will be back on the road this week battling the Caney Creek Panthers at Buddy Moorhead Stadium in Conroe.
The Rangers are coming off a 42-23 loss to the Huntsville Hornets.
