BRYAN, Texas -- The College Station Cougar football team will be on the road Friday night to take on Houston Northland Christian. The Cougars will try to bounce back from a 43-37 overtime loss to Gonzales last week.
College Station rallied in the fourth quarter to force overtime. Cougar head coach Steve Huff feels his team will have to finish stronger to pick up a win this week. "They came back on Saturday morning. I think everybody took it pretty hard, but at the same time they came back to work Saturday morning. Very good practices Monday and Tuesday of this week. I think they know that the ball club that we are facing this week is a state semifinalist last year in TAPPS and to look at the athletes that they have and see them on video. They know its a wake-up call real quick." College Station and Northland Christian will kick-off at 7:00 Friday night.
The Rudder Rangers face Magnolia West Friday night at Merrill Green Stadium. The Rangers are looking to snap a five game losing streak. Rudder lost to Caney Creek 34-28 last Friday in overtime. The Rangers and Bulldogs will kick-off at 7:30 at Merrill Green Stadium.
Those are two of 75 games that will be covered on Taco Bell's Friday Football Fever which begins at 11:37pm on KBTX.
