HEARNE, TX -- Chris Morrow scored three first half touchdowns and Franklin beat Hearne 42-19 Friday night in the season opener for both the Eagles and Lions at Wood Field.
Morrow scored on a four yard touchdown on the Lions opening possession and they never looked back. Hearne answered Morrow's opening score with a 56 yard touchdown run on the Eagles' first offensive play of the season, but that's as close as Hearne would get.
Hearne (0-1) will look to give new head coach Clinton Smith his first victory as an Eagle next Friday night (Sept. 7th) when they travel to Caldwell to take on the Hornets.
Franklin (1-0) will be back on the road as they travel to Riesel to take on the Indians.
