BREMOND, Texas -- The Bremond Tigers return a good number of players and should be poised to make a run at a district championship and go deep in the playoffs. Seven starters are coming back on offense and nine will be back on defense.
Harrison Hull, a TSWA all-state line-backer, and Draven Denison, a TSWA all-state defensive lineman, are back to lead what could be a very good defense.
The Tigers hope to improve on the 20 points per game they gave up a year ago, and only having to replace one starter on the line and one in the secondary will certainly help.
Cade Grych returns at quarter-back after an all-district junior season. He will have three starters back on the line to block for him and the Tiger offense, including TSWA third-team all-state selection Colby Wilganowski.
James Jones had an all-district season at receiver a year ago as a sophomore, but will move to running back this season. The Tigers get two of their three district games at home this year, and the season finale against Chilton will likely decide the district championship.
