Last Second Field Goal Gives Rudder 20-17 Win In 18-4A Opener

BRYAN, TX -- The Rudder varsity football team got a 22 yard field goal from Colton Bayer with :01 seconds left in the game against Magnolia to post a 20-17 win in the Rangers District 18-4A opener Friday night at Merrill Green Stadium.

Rudder got a 49 yard touchdown run from Tre Guyton on the Rangers second offensive play to take a 7 to nothing lead. Magnolia would counter with 14 unanswered points and take a 14 - 7 halftime lead.

The Rangers would counter with 13 points in the second half including the game winning field goal as Rudder wins their first game of the season 20-17.

Rudder will travel to Huntsville next Friday night to take on the Hornets at Bowers Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30.
