BRYAN -- The Rudder football team will be on the field at Merrill Green Stadium Friday night for a homecoming game against Waller. The Rangers are coming off a 30-24 loss to Magnolia West last Friday. That dropped the Rangers to 2-2 in district 18-4A play.
Waller enters the game 0-3 in district play after losing to Montgomery 38-16 last week. Even though the Bulldogs are without a win in district action, Rudder defensive coordinator Alan Fritsche thinks Waller quarterback Rhett Loewe will be the biggest challenge for the defense. "Not only can he throw the ball and hurt you with his arm he is kind of the RG III of Waller." Fritsche added "That guy can run the ball, he likes it in his hands, he likes to make plays."
Rudder and Waller will kick-off at 7:30pm Friday night at Merrill Green Stadium. You can see how the game turned out on Taco Bell's Friday Football Fever at 11:35pm on KBTX.
