BRYAN, TX -- Both the A&M Consolidated Tigers and College Station Cougars will get a jump start on the high school football schedule Thursday night with a pair of road games and both will be looking to bounce back after tough losses last week.
The Tigers are coming off a 4 overtime loss to Lufkin in their district 14-5A opener 71-68 in College Station, while the Cougars suffered a 47-6 loss to Gonzales on the road.
A&M Consolidated will take on The Woodlands at Woodforest Bank Stadium in Shenandoah at 7pm. College Station will take on the Taylor JV in Taylor at 7pm.
This will be the first district game between the Tigers and Highlanders since 1999. That's not the last time the two teams have met, that was in the 2007 in the playoffs that A&M Consolidated won 30-12 at Bowers Stadium in Huntsville.
KBTX Sports will have highlights of the game Thursday night at 10, as well as a complete recap on Taco Bell's Friday Football Fever at 11:35 on Friday.
