COLLEGE STATION, TX -- The A&M Consolidated Tigers returns home Friday night for their annual showdown with Austin Westlake.
Consol lost their first game of the season last week at the hands of Waco Midway 34-27. Tiger Head Coach David Raffield saw some improvement despite the loss and is encouraged heading into Friday night.
"I knew it wasn't going to be quite the improvement going into a week two game, but we did improve. We got a little sharper. I thought our offensive line played a lot better than they had the week before. I see signs that some special things are to come."
The Chaparrals have won 3 of the last 5 games against the Tigers, with Consol's two victories during that time coming at Tigerland Stadium site of tonight's game. Kick-time is set for 7-30.
