BRYAN, Texas -- The A&M Consolidated Tigers beat Kingwood last week to advance to the area round of the playoffs and now the Tigers will meet a familiar foe in Austin Westlake Friday night at Floyd Casey Stadium in Waco.
Head Coach David Raffield says his Tigers are a much improved team from the one that lost to the Chaps 38 to 32 in Week 2.
"Definitely we have gotten better on both sides of the football," said Raffield.
"Our offense is spreading the ball all over the field. Every zone we can hit now and defensively we are a lot better at not busting assignments. That really hurt us in the first game and it was just a lot of errors and we've been able to correct it."
A year ago Westlake ended the Tigers season with a 45-2 loss in the second round of the playoffs.
