BRYAN -- The Bryan football team was hoping to pick up a win in Ross Rogers' first game as the Vikings head coach but Waco Midway came in to Merrill Green Stadium and beat Bryan 34-7.

The Panthers started the scoring when Hunter Jarmon made a great one handed catch to haul in a Kramer Robertson pass. Jarmon took the ball 65 yards to the end zone to give Midway a 7-0 lead. Bryan would answer in the second quarter on a 47 yard touchdown pass from Chris Johnson to Cooper Powell to tie the game at seven. Midway would take control of the game after that. B.J Kelly would score on a pair of one yard touchdown runs to help the Panthers take a 20-7 halftime lead.

Midway would add to their lead in the third quarter on a DeChaar Greer seven yard touchdown run. The Panthers capped off the scoring with a 15 yard touchdown pass from Deandre Ford to Wayne O'Bryant.

Bryan will return to action September 7 when they face Magnolia in Magnolia.
