The A&M Consolidated Tigers are representing District 14-5A in the Division 2 portion of the UIL State football playoffs and will take on Kingwood Friday down at Buddy Moorhead Stadium in Conroe.
The Tigers didn't play last week, but got plenty of playoff work done and head coach David Raffield was pleased with how his team utilized the "bye week".
"I was really proud of the way the kids handled it," said Raffield. "We had a lot of fun. Kept it low intensity and relaxed. Believed we got a great week of work headed into this weekend."
Consol won their first round game a year ago over Klein and will try to make it back to back Bi-district titles Friday night at 7:30 against Kingwood.
