In their sweet sixteen game the Aggieland Panther Boys Varsity basketball team fell to the number 2 seed Wichita Defenders, 62-54.

The panthers defeated the number 3 seed, Lakeshore Thunder, to earn a spot in the sweet sixteen of Division 1 of the National Christian Homeschool Basketball Championships.

John Hale lead the Panthers with 17 points and Jeremiah Allen had 14 points in the loss. Aggieland was down by 7 in the 3rd quarter and then fought back to be within 3 points with 2 minutes left, but the Defenders made their free throws down the stretch to secure the victory.

The Panthers will play the San Antonio FEAST on Wednesday in the Consolation Bracket. FEAST is the team that beat Aggieland in the State Tournament in February. Aggieland finished eighth in the state among homeschool teams.
