BRENHAM, Texas The Brazos Christian football team beat The Woodlands Christian 38-22 Friday night at Cub Stadium.
The Eagles started the scoring in the first quarter. John Mather scored on a one yard touchdown run to put Brazos Christian up 7-0. That was the score after the first quarter.
The Eagles add to their lead in the second quarter on a 13 yard Mather touchdown pass to Jesse Honnas. The Woodlands Christian would try to answer the score but Sam Thomasson intercepted a pass to end the Warrior drive. Brazos Christian would not look back from there.
The Eagles advance in the TAPPS playoffs to face the winner of the St. Joseph vs Bay Area Christian game. Those two teams play tomorrow afternoon at 3:00pm at Huffman ISD Stadium.
