BREMOND, Texas -- The Bremond Tigers scored 28 first quarter points and never looked back in a 62-14 win over Axtell Friday night at Tiger Stadium.
Bremond scored on their opening possession thanks to a 34 yard touchdown strike from Cade Grych to Harrison Hull for a 7 to nothing Tiger lead.
Next time Axtell had the ball - Hull was there waiting. Picks off the pass and takes it back 26 yards for the Tigers' 4th "pick six" of the season and a 14 to nothing lead.
Grych was on the money in the first quarter, the fade route to Evan Sargent from 24 yards for a 21 - 0 lead.
Bremond will find the end zone one more time before the first quarter is in the books. The Longhorn pass is tipped and falls into the hands of James Jones. 35 yards later it's the 5th pick six for the Bremond Defense as they go onto win it 62-14.
Bremond will travel to Bosqueville on Friday to take on the Bulldogs next Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7:30pm.
