Brenham scored twice in the fourth quarter to pull away from Montgomery and beat the Bears 27-10 on Homecoming night in the Prideland.
The Cubs led 13-10 after three quarters and got a game changing interception return for a touchdown by Ryan Nunn early in the fourth to go up 20-10.
Earnest Patterson busted off a long touchdown run to help put the Bears away a few minutes later.
Brenham head coach Glen West said, "I'm really proud of our kids because at halftime I thought we were playing really well but we had a three point lead. We just decided let's go back, let's execute, let's stay calm, and let's make it happen and they did that."
Montgomery took a 7-0 first quarter lead after Danton Kranz interception led to an eight-yard touchdown run by Tyler Brown.
The Cubs answered on a 28-yard Caleb Hill touchdown toss to James Homan, and took the lead when Hill found Courtland Sutton late in the half.
Montgomery kicked a field goal on the final play of the half to make it 13-10 at the break.
Brenham improves to 5-1, 4-0 in District 18-4A play and will visit Rudder next week.
Montgomery falls to 5-2, 4-1 in 18-4A and will host Willis Friday.
Peyton Puckett was named Homecoming Queen.
