Bryan Softball Allows One Run in First Two Games in BCS Tournament

BRYAN, Texas -- On the first round of the BCS softball tournament, Bryan beat Denton 4-0 in round one and defeated Mission Sharyland 5-1.

Rebecca Peirce was the winning pitcher in game one and recorded her second win of the year.

Leading hitters for the Vikings against Denton were Courtney Meier who went 3 for 3 with 2 RBIs, and Madison Goolsby who went 2 for 3 with a double and scoring a run.

Rachel Ullmann got the win for game two, and Emily Peirce recorded the save.

Leading hitters in game two include Madison Goolsby going 2 for 3 with a run, and Ally Bessette went 1 for 2 a triple.

Next action for the Lady Vikes will be in the 3rd round against Arlington Martin at 1 p.m. at Bryan High School.
