ALLEN, Texas -- Defending state champion Cameron Yoe rallied from a 21-7 halftime deficit to beat White Oak 24-21 in the 2A Division I semifinals Friday night.
The Yoemen got a 36-yard Michael Evan field goal the with 6:44 left in the contest that proved to be the game winner.
White Oak led 7-0 after the first quarter and 21-7 at the half, but could not hold on to the lead. Cameron scored a touchdown on their first possession of the first quarter and then on a 20-yard Traion Smith touchdown run to tie the game at 21.
Cameron Yoe improves to 14-1 and will face either Wall or New Boston in the 2A Division I state championship game Thursday at 5 p.m. at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. White Oak's year ends with a record of 13-2.
