COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- The College Station JV girls soccer team tied the A&M Consolidated JV girls 2-2 Wednesday at Cougar Field.
The was scoreless at the half. The Cougs opened the scoring with a goal by Shannon Gaines two minutes into the second half. The Tigers' Paige Alvarez tied the game with a goal off a corner kick.
The Cougs retook the lead with a goal from Megan Fowler that went just under the crossbar. With one minute left in the game, Alvarez scored the tying goal for the Tigers to make the final 2-2. This game leaves the Cougars at 1-0-1 on the year.
Next action for CSHS is next Tuesday when they host Navasota in the district opener (JV at 5, varsity at 7). A&M Consolidated plays again on Friday, hosting Bryan in the Crosstown Showdown.
