NAVASOTA, Texas -- Ryan Johnson hit a three pointer with under 6 seconds to play as College Station upset 18th ranked Navasota 68-65 at the Snake Pit Tuesday night.
College Station was down 12 points with 3:47 to play in the 4th quarter when the Cougars mounted its comeback. Collin Lawson hit a couple of three pointers during the rally including one to tie the game at 65.
After a charging foul gave College Station back the ball, Johnson hit another 3 pointer with 6 seconds to give the Cougars the lead at 68-65.
Tren'Davian Dickson attempted a three pointer to send the game to overtime, but his shot was short. Dickson lead the Rattlers with 24 points.
Lawson would lead the Cougars with 24 points, while Johnson added 13.
It was Navasota's first district loss on the year.
The Rattlers will look to rebound on Friday as they host Caldwell at 6:15. College Station will stay on the road as they travel to Madisonville to take on the Mustangs at 630.
