GARLAND, Texas -- The College Station Lady Cougar Volleyball team made history this year by advancing to the State Tournament for the first time ever. They will need to be satisfied with that feat after losing in four sets to Bellville Friday afternoon at the Curtis Culwell Center.

Bellville won the first two sets 25-18, 25-16. College Station won the third set 25-21, but couldn't keep the momentum going as they lost the fourth 25-16 and saw their season come to a close with an overall record of 31-12.

Bellville (41-7) will take on Decatur (40-7) Saturday afternoon at 2pm for the Class 3A State Championship.

Bellville's motto this year is "one for the thumb" as the Brahmanettes chase their 10th state volleyball title.
