NAVASOTA, Texas -- After having their 13 game win streak snapped by Stafford on Dec. 20th just before the Christmas holidays, the Navasota Rattlers came out red hot following the five day break to win six games in three days to capture the Weimar Holiday Classic. It was the Big Blue's third tournament championship of the season.
On Thursday, Dec. 26th the Rattlers defeated Gonzales 43-25 and Brookshire Royal 65-18. On Friday, a rematch with Gonzales saw Navasota come out on top 45-16 and then beat Hallettsville 54-46. Saturday saw Navasota defeat LaGrange 52-25 and Weimar in the title game 42-32.
The six wins improve the Rattlers season record to 21-3.
It was the last tune up before District 18-AAA begins this Friday when Navasota travels to Caldwell
