For the first half of the game Tuesday night it appeared the Rattler girls basketball team was still on Thanksgiving break. Navasota traveled to Katy to take on Pope John XXIII High School and led only 19-13 at intermission. The Rattlers were ic cold in the first quarter connecting on only 2 of their 14 shots.
Things heated up the the second half as the Big Blue had runs of 12-2 and 11-3 to cruise to a commanding 43-23 lead after 3 quarters of play.
The Rattlers had 4 players score in double figures. Tashyra Banks and Harley White had 15 while Dee Dee Robinson added 12 and Denisha Ford chipped in 10.
Molly Love added 6 while pulling down 10 rebounds and having 6 assists. Kalandrea Jefferson had 3 points while both Khaliah Peterson and Bree Mock added 2 points.
Navasota forced 37 turnovers and outrebounded the Lions 52-34.
The win improves the Rattlers season record to 5-2 .
