COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- The Navasota varsity girls basketball team ran into a buzz saw Tuesday night when they traveled to College Station to take on A & M Consolidated. Final score was A & M Consolidated 60 Navasota 36.
The host Tigers applied pressure that forced 9 first quarter Rattler turnovers resulting in 10 points and built a 19-6 lead.
Consolidated extended their lead to to 24 at half 35-11.
The young Rattlers showed some toughness in the second half outrebounding the Tigers and playing even offensively 25-25.
Sophmore post Tashyra Banks scored 12 points while Denisha Ford had 11. Molly Love chipped in 8 points.
The road gets no easier for the young Rattlers as another 5A Power in the Bryan Lady Vikings come to town on Friday. Tip off is set for 4:30
