BRYAN, Texas -- The Cameron Yoemen will take on Wall in the Class 2A Division I State Championship game Thursday at 5pm at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
A year ago the Yoemen beat Daingerfield 38-20 to claim the second state championship in school history. The win avenged a 2010 title game loss to Daingerfield.
Cameron punched their ticket to the 2A Championship game this year with a 24-21 come from behind win over White Oak last week.
Head Coach Rick Rhoades knows that experience won't put any points on the scoreboard against Wall, but it certainly is an advantage that he's glad favors his Cameron team this year.
"This is kinda a mini version of the Super Bowl week," said Rhoades. "We've been through that and I think or kids and coaches know how to handle that. I think that it's a huge advantage because there is no substitute for experience."
Kickoff is set for 5pm at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. The game is being televised by Fox Sports Southwest Plus. Check with your cable or satellite provider to see if it is being offered in your area.
