The Snook Bluejays brought their A-game Tuesday night, defeating Round Top Carmine 17-4.
After a nine-run fourth inning for Snook, RTC fought to come back scoring three runs in their half of the fourth but it wasn't enough. Snook had 21 hits and three errors, while Round Top Carmine had six hits and no errors.
There were several doubles hit by the Snook offense including two for Maass, two for Eldridge, one for each Kovar, and two for Hooper. Maass went 4 for 5 on the night, scoring four runs, Eldridge went 3 for 4 with two RBIs and a run, H Kovar went 4 for 4 with four RBIs and two scored runs. N Kovar went 2 for 3 at the plate with two RBIs, a walk, and three runs.
Quimby and Symon each went 2 for 2 for Round Top Carmine, and Quimby also had a double and scored one of the four runs.
N Kovar and Vadjak each took the mound for the Bluejays, going three innings and one inning respectively. Kovar gave up three hits, one run, two walks, and had five strikeouts. Vadjack gave up three hits, three runs (only one was earned), and struck out one batter.
