Tigers Fall To Highlanders In District 14-5A Showdown

COLLEGE STATION, Texas The Woodlands Highlanders beat the A&M Consolidated Tigers 24-7 Friday night in a District 14-5A match-up at Tigerland Stadium. The Highlanders move to 2-0 in 14-5A play. The Tigers fall to 1-1.

Consol started the scoring with a 13 yard touchdown pass from Kobe Miller to Kerry Thomas. That was the only scoring in the first quarter. The Highlanders got on the board in the second quarter with a Ryan Spaulding 32 yard field goal and took the lead on a Chris Andritsos one yard touchdown run. The Woodlands led 10-7 at halftime.

The Highlanders scored the only two touchdowns of the second half. Andritsos scored on a one yard run and threw a 26 yard touchdown pass to Chris Bell.

Consol will return to action October 11 when they face District 14-5A rival Bryan at Kyle Field.
