Jackrabbits hold off Kats 60-49

Shernise Robertson scored 15 points as the Bearkats late rally fell short in a 60-49 loss to South Dakota State Monday night. Robertson has led the Sam Houston women’s basketball team in scoring in all three games this season.

Hill & Hall Earn Southland Weekly Honors

After leading Sam Houston to its third Southland Conference championship in the past four years in a 38-31 victory over Central Arkansas Saturday, running back Keshawn Hill and defensive end P. J. Hall earned weekly awards from the Southland Conference.

Blinn College Headlines

Temple College scores first 15 points of the game in Blinn loss

Temple College women’s basketball came out scoring the first 15 points of the game and Blinn was still able to make a game of it in the end but fell in Temple 71-68 on Nov. 19. Blinn College had their chance to tie the game in the end with a 3-pointer but a turnover on the final possession proved costly and Temple was able to hang on. The Buccaneers trailed 34-27 at the half. Katelynn Johnson led the Buccaneers with 18 points as she hit four shots from behind the arc. Moe Bedford had 13 points and Shakera Barnes had 13 points for Blinn with the help of two 3-pointers.

The Browns say they are aware of an "incident" reportedly involving rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel and a fight at a downtown hotel where he lives.

Boykin, No. 6 TCU win 41-20 over No. 9 Kansas St

Trevone Boykin ran for 123 yards and three touchdowns and threw for another score, leading No. 6 TCU to a 41-20 victory over No. 9 Kansas State on Saturday night that had huge Big 12 title and playoff implications.
