BRYAN, Texas — Willy Amador drove in three with a double in the third and Bryan turned a triple play in the top of the fourth inning on their way to a 5-1 victory over Kingwood.
The Vikings swept the Bi-District playoff series from the Mustangs and will advance to the Area round against Lake Travis.
Bryan took a 3-0 lead on Amador's double, then erased three Mustang base runners on one play in the fourth. Kingwood had the bases loaded when Jason Hejl got Ian Sikes to ground to Juan Valadez at third. Valadez got one out at the bag, tagged Frankie Silha out trying to get back to third, then threw to Landon Miner at first, who tagged Luke Boyd to complete the triple play.
