BRYAN, Texas — The Rudder Rangers will play at home for the first time this season Friday when they host Killeen Ellison.
A long losing streak will come to an end, as Rudder takes a 12-game skid into the game, while Ellison has lost their last 31 games after falling 27-16 Eagle Pass in their 2014 opener.
The Rangers lost Will Compton's head coaching debut 40-14 at Shoemaker last week, but he's more than ready to coach at Merrill Green Stadium for the first time.
"I'm truly excited. This is the place that me and my family wanted to be. These kids out here have been busting their butts and we're excited to hopefully put on a show at the home stadium," said Compton.
Rudder and Ellison are set to kick things off Friday at 7:30.
