BRYAN, Texas — Suddenlink has come to an agreement sure to make Aggies in the Brazos Valley happy. The cable company now has a deal with ESPN to carry the SEC Network.

Suddenlink announced on Twitter and Facebook Saturday that the deal is official.

Company spokesman Pete Abel told News 3's Steve Fullhart, "A more formal announcement will be made Monday, and additional details will be communicated to customers starting next week."

Texas A&M football fans with Suddenlink had been sweating over the summer hoping to be able to see the Aggies play South Carolina August 28 in the SEC Network's first ever televised football game.

DirecTV is now the only carrier available locally that has not yet come to an agreement to have the SEC Network.
