You can see 12 out of 14 girls. The cone seen on the left side is the front of the endzone. This is a view of about a fourth of the field.
COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Do you love Ultimate Frisbee? The Texas A&M University Women's Ultimate Frisbee Team, Stacked, is hosting the USA Ultimate's Texas sectional tournament at Central Park April 12-13th.
Eight teams from across Texas will be playing to win spots to advance to Regionals. Ultimate is a high-energy, fast-paced sport, and Stacked wants to introduce more of the Bryan/College Station community to this great activity.
It's being hosted at Central Park, roughly from 9 am to 5 pm each day, with games starting about every hour and a half. The event will be updated with the games (times, teams, and field number) once they are set.
For those that aren't familiar with this sport, Ultimate is a game that is played on a field similar to a football field - it has endzones. Each team has 7 players on per point. One team will throw, or "pull", the disc to the other and the point starts. A team keeps possession of the disc until it is dropped, at which time the other team takes possession. The object of the game is to work the disc down the field to the opposite endzone by throwing the disc to your teammates. Once you catch the disc, you are only allowed to pivot on one foot, otherwise it's a travel, like basketball. You score one point every time you catch the disc in the endzone USA Ultimate is our governing body and has a brief overview of the game as well here.
