BRYAN, Texas — The Bryan Vikings kicked off 2014 with a home loss to Montgomery, and they will hit the road Friday to visit Conroe.
The Tigers won their season opener 49-6 over Aldine Nimitz.
The Vikings fell behind early and never could catch up in their loss to the Bears, and know they have plenty of things to improve on this week.
Head coach Ross Rogers said, "There are a lot of things to work on. I don't mean to be facetious when I say that, just we didn't play aggressive football on the line of scrimmage like we wanted to. Defensively I thought we played pretty well and our kicking game was not any good. So we have kicking game, being more aggressive on our offensive line and just going in with a better attitude. It's game time."
The Vikings and Tigers are set to meet Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Buddy Moorhead Stadium.
