Texas A&M Men’s Tennis Wins SEC Championship

Posted: 6:57 PM - The No. 11 Texas A&M men’s tennis team defeated No. 15 Florida 4-2 to win the 2014 SEC Men’s Tennis Championship at the Currey Tennis Center in Nashville, Tenn. hosted by Vanderbilt. The Aggies improved to 24-6 on the season, while Florida fell to 15-9 on the year.

David Scott Knight, of Franklin, passed away at his residence Tuesday afternoon and funeral services will take place at the First Baptist Church in Franklin Saturday morning at 10:00. Interment will follow at 3:00 pm at the Crawford Cemetery in Crawford, Texas.

Florida Sweeps Series with 8-0 Shutout in Sunday Finale

The No. 21 Texas A&M softball team (29-17, 9-12 SEC) lost an 8-0 six-inning game to 5th-ranked Florida (40-8, 11-7 SEC), Sunday in the Southeastern Conference series finale at the Aggie Softball Complex. With the win, the Gators sweep the series 3-0. The game was the Aggies’ second-straight run-rule loss of the weekend.
